Michele and Keith met a long long time ago…. in a galaxy far, far city not so far from Houston. They were friends for a very long time, but the timing was never right ; life kinda just got in the way. Then love found a way. For their first date, Keith took Michele to The Strand in Galveston, TX. The Creole culture and one-of-a-kind character of this area attracts the locals like a kid in the candy store, and the weekend of the photo shoot proved to be no different. We scurried to the outskirts of The Strand with camera in hand to escape the crowds and find some calm away from the bustling main drag.

All you needed was a red carpet and anyone strolling by the Jack Art Gallery in Atlanta that night would believe the latest Hollywood flick to challenge Avatar‘s box office supremacy was making its unveiling there. Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of shooting our good friend, Varune’s, black and white formal birthday party. Approximately 100 of Varune’s closest friends from Atlanta and afar arrived in their latest monochromatic threads, giving us the illusion that we were walking through a real life Bloomingdales fashion catalog. After shooting photos on this momentous evening, we can undoubtedly say that fresh hors d’oeuvres, good company, tasty wine, and groovy tunes played by the DJ equate to one fun birthday evening.

You’re probably asking, “Esvy, Huh? What’s that?”
Let us ask you something: Do you like photography? Of course you do. I mean, who doesn’t? Photography is a like chocolate chip cookies, always enjoyable. And they’re even better with a glass of milk… unless you’re allergic to chocolate or lactose intolerant, in which case insert another food or beverage of your choice into that analogy. So what’s your favorite type of photography? Lifestyle? Fine Art? Still life? Weddings? Portraits? We love them all too. That’s why we created this blog: to share with the world the photos we take.
Welcome to the blog of Esvy Photography. We are Darren and Mike…a couple guys who love photography and capturing moments that will last forever.
We’ve been shooting independently for about 6 years each, but this is the first time that we are working as a team. This blog serves as our chronicle for all of our work, pictures, travels, and other sordid visual imagery stuff. We hope you enjoy what you see and hopefully learn a little about us.
We live in a Web 2.0 nowadays, so we encourage you guys to quit hiding behind your keyboards and iPhone touchscreens and get a little vocal on our blog. (Not that we’ll be counting comments and handing out everyone participation grades like in 6th grade English class) So go ahead, drop a comment on one of our many upcoming posts, retweet us in the Twittersphere, or share our news on your Facebook wall. You guys complete us… in the same way Mini-me completes Austin Power’s nemesis, Dr. Evil.
