The photographers at Esvy will pick their favorite ideas and then put it to a public vote. The couple with the most creative idea will win a free session with us!

Please note, one entry per person and the winning couple must be photographed in the greater NYC/Long Island area, so keep that in mind as you’re thinking creatively about your engagement shoot idea. All ideas must be submitted by Friday, February 10. The Esvy staff will then select five finalists to compete for their chance to win a free engagement session with us.

How will the winner be selected? By you! We will announce the five finalists on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 and feature each idea throughout the month of February on our blog. Readers will vote on their favorite engagement shoot idea, and the idea with the most votes will see their concept turned into reality with an Esvy photographer.

3. The free engagement session is only valid in the in the greater NYC/Long Island area. The free engagement shoot does not include travel outside the greater NYC/Long Island area.

4. The winning couple will receive one (1) 90-minute session with one (1) Esvy photographer, one (1) online proof gallery, and a maximum of (20) full resolution digital images, to be used for personal non-commercial usage only.

Official Rules
ESVY ENGAGEMENT SHOOT CONTEST
No Purchase Necessary

Esvy Engagement Shoot Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Esvy Photography (“Sponsors”). The Contest begins February 2, 2012 and ends no later than March 31, 2012.

1. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the continental United States (void in Puerto Rico), 18 years of age or older, except to employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and the immediate family members of Sponsors, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion agencies and promotion partners. This Contest is void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

2. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You can enter this Contest via Sponsors’ website, esvyphoto.com. To enter, leave a comment at http://www.esvyphoto.com/blog/?p=2822 with details about your idea for an engagement shoot. Valid entries must include a valid email address. There is a limit of one entry per person. To be eligible, all entries for Contest must be received by 11:59p.m. (Eastern Time) on February 10, 2012. Multiple entries are ineligible. Entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), forged, postage-due, illegible, mutilated, incomplete, misdirected, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified.

3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Five finalists will be selected to compete for their chance to win a free engagement session with one (1) Esvy photographer. Reader votes will determine the winner. Votes must be received by 11:59p.m. (Eastern Time) on March 11, 2012. Multiple votes are void. Votes that are late (including delayed data transmissions), forged, postage-due, illegible, mutilated, incomplete, misdirected, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be void. Winner will be notified by e-mail on/about March 12, 2012. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted during three (3) business days from the date of the Contest drawing, or if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, an alternate winner may be selected.

4. PRIZES:
GRAND PRIZE(S): one (1) 90-minute session with one (1) Esvy photographer, one (1) online proof gallery, and a maximum of twenty (20) full resolution digital images to be used for personal non-commercial usage only.

Total Approximate Prize Value of all prizes = $500.

No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of the Sponsors. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of the Sponsors, a substitute prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not transferable.

5. CONDITIONS: By entering, participants agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All applicable federal, state and local taxes not specifically mentioned herein are the responsibility of prize winner(s). Sponsors, and their officers, directors, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for, (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, stolen, postage due or illegible entries; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or usage of the prize; or (iii) printing, distribution or production errors. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Entry and/or acceptance of prize(s) constitutes permission for the Sponsors and their agencies to use the winner’s name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation Internet, unless prohibited by law. Grand Prize Winner(s) must complete, sign, notarize and return an Affidavit of Eligibility & Liability / Publicity Release before claiming prize. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the winner(s), and an alternate winner will be selected. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Contest will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering or infection by computer virus, Sponsors at their sole discretion reserve the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Contest. Void where prohibited.

6. DISCLAIMERS: Sponsors, and the Contest Entities are not liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession and/or misuse of prize(s), participation in Contest, or any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer Internet system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof, or any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, postage-due, forged, illegible, mutilated, mechanically duplicated, mass machine printed, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules. Sponsors and Contest Entities are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or third person’s computer and/or its contents, related to or resulting from Contest.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue: Jobel’s “something borrowed” was a University of Florida Gator garter from her best friend/Matron of Honor. It was fitting because Joer (her husband) and her went to rival schools.  He is an alumni of  University of Georgia Bulldog and she’s a Florida Gator….. hmm can you see the love/hate there?

To make the day even more special Jobel’s “Something Blue” was a blue-beaded coin purse that belonged to her grandmother when she was 15 years old. It’s always good to give a nod to your family and incorporate something that was passed down through the years. 

Aria and James wedding was just a couple weeks after Hurricane Irene, which did quite a bit of damage to the east end of Long Island. Fortunately for Aria and James, the Salt Air Farm was able to clean things up in time for their wedding. You could not have asked for a better day: a fun, laid back farm wedding capped off with roasted marshmallows and an open fire. We had a great time photographing this wedding!
